A psychological evaluation also referred to as psychological testing or assessment is conducted by a trained psychologist and includes clinical interviews along with a comprehensive set of standardized tests.
This process provides a detailed understanding of an individual’s cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
The information gathered helps inform formal diagnoses and personalized recommendations, which can guide more targeted therapy, increase self-understanding, support academic accommodations, and/or inform medical treatment.
